Lifejackets not just for Emergencies!
Lifejackets are an integral part of your survival and emergency kit. They should be donned at the first opportunity whether it be - onshore, pontoon, dockside or on the vessel - make sure you are wearing your lifejacket.
Your lifejacket should fit comfortably around the chest area and be securely fastened. It should be snug but not too tight. The crutch strap (if fitted) should be clipped and secured between the legs. These features and wearing your lifejacket correctly will aid both your survival and rescue should you find yourself in difficulty and in the water.
