United Moulders Cartridge

There a several inflation mechanisms used in the manufacturing of lifejackets and to add to confusion, they have expiry dates, use by dates and sometimes a date of manufacture!

The United Moulders will have a 'replace by date' printed alongside the body of the part.

United Moulders recommend the following:

• 'EXP' printed before the date, DO NOT USE and replace immediately
• For light use, replace the cartridge at or before the REPLACE BY date
• RECREATIONAL USE: Replace every two years or by the REPLACE BY date, whichever is sooner and recommend that your lifejacket is inspected at an approved service centre annually
• COMMERCIAL USE: Replace Annually.  Do not exceed the REPLACE BY date in any 1-year period.  SOLAS approved lifejackets are required to be serviced by an authorised service station annually
